Full Plate helped make my Palm Springs birthday weekend SO special. By the time my friends and I checked into our rental house, Jay had stocked the fridge with our favorite beverages and snacks — including the most amazing homemade guacamole and decadent brownies!

He came back to prepare a fabulous poolside dinner the next night — leaving us with plenty of leftovers, and even a breakfast casserole and fruit salad for the next morning.

It was wonderful to enjoy the house, pool, and my friends without having to worry about grocery shopping or cooking. Plus everyone still raves about how good all of the food was!

We used Full Plate for a multiple-birthdays celebration at a VRBO (16 people plus a few other guests for a week). Working with Jay and his menus/recipes, we planned a menu for the week. Every single item was a BIG hit.

We had to allow for an onion allergy, and Jay worked around that beautifully - creating several “no-onion” servings of requested dishes.

Cornish pasties were a huge hit — as were the dilly bars, the brownies and ice cream, both bean dishes, the baked egg casseroles for breakfast/brunch, two kinds of lasagna, two kinds of enchiladas, and the pork loin. Oh, and the brie bowl, and the jalapeño poppers!

Jay delivered the food in two stages since we were there so long — he’s attentive to detail, a charming raconteur, warm, and knowledgeable about the local area.

The best thing about managing food this way is that as a host your time is free of the feeding-people time suck: shopping-in-a-strange-place/store, prepping food, cleaning up, and starting all over again with the next meal. Also, by eating in, you avoid the pain (and time waster In my opinion), of eating out with a large party - hard to do without renting your own room. This way, you can play, visit, swim, sight-see at will, and participate in the event, rather than WORKing the event.

2023 - 2024 Services & Prices

From your kitchen to table, it’s your food, but I do the work! You pay for my time & groceries,

Services includes:  meal planning; grocery shopping; fully prepared dishes; a clean kitchen.

It’s wonderful to walk into the heavenly smells of delicious home-cooked meals wafting from my kitchen when Jay visits! I pour wine, open my mail, and chat with Jay as he brings the meals over the finish line.

All I do is set the table, enjoy the meals, clear the table and load the dishwasher! The leftovers are outstanding, providing me with two additional lunches, and two dinners. . . a total value!

Two meals from his repertoire to consider — savory Polish cabbage rolls, and his decadent tuna noodle casserole.

1) Base Package: Dinner or Brunch for Four PEOPLE—

We develop a custom menu. On the appointed day, I shop and prepare dinner (salad, entree, and a side dish) or brunch (seasonal fruit salad, breakfast strata or frittata, and coffee cake).

A delicious home-cooked meal for four hungry people is table-ready when you are. Just set your table and dig in. I clean-up the kitchen and "Exit...stage left." You’ll typically get enough leftovers for a second meal.

2022 Base-Package Pricing: $200 which includes:

  • $150 labor (see “Add-On Services”, below, if you plan to host more than four)

  • $50 grocery shopping service flat-fee

  • You reimburse the actual cost of groceries (receipts provided).

2) Week-of-Meals Package — four meals —

Perfect for a busy family, or if you're entertaining out-of-town guests! It’s also a thoughtful gift.

We develop a custom menu. On the appointed day, I’ll shop and spend 4-6 hours preparing four main-course entrees.

One entree for that day (just add a salad or side dish!) — the rest packaged into the fridge or freezer. (Portions are family-sized for 4-6 people, so if you're a couple, you'll get at least two meals out of each entree).

2022 Prices: $450 which breaks down as:

  • $400 labor for a single-session booking

  • $50 grocery shopping service fee

  • You reimburse the actual cost of groceries (receipts provided)

3) Grocery Shopping SERVICES

I love wandering grocery aisles to hunt for good deals, selecting the freshest produce and meats (what a weirdo, right!?)

Just give me your list… I’ll do the leg work and drop off for you.

2022 Prices:

  • $45 for a grocery bill up-to $100

  • Add $5 for each $50 spent above $100

  • Add $5 for each added store required or requested, $10 if you specify Costco.

3) For DESERT Vacationers / VISITORS

Visiting Palm Springs for fun-in-the-sun?  Don’t waste time in a grocery store or kitchen! Hit me up and I’ll develop a custom proposal that includes Grocery Shopping for you; a Base Package for your first-night dinner, or a Week-of-Meals.

Add-On Services

  • Appetizers: $40 per appetizer (serves 4-6 people)

  • Desserts: $40 per dessert (serves 4-6 people).

  • Table Service: for $150 I'll help you bring the dishes to the table; help you serve; and then clean up after the meal (dishwasher loaded…leftovers wrapped and stored)

  • Brunch Fritatta or Strata: $45. One of my favorite things to make for brunch... so you can just bake-it-off for breakfast.

  • More than four people: $10-per-head for each added family-member or guest, not-to-exceed-eight.

    • If you have a large group to feed, or you’re hosting a cocktail party, you probably should hire a local caterer since I’m a one-person operation.
